SEPTEMBER KICKS OFF WITH MUSIC, MUD AND MILITARY MUSTERS IN MT WASHINGTON VALLEY, NH
North Conway, NH – While fall doesn’t officially arrive until later in September, after Labor Day weekend has come and gone, it feels like autumn is in the air in Mt Washington Valley, NH. We start looking forward to colorful New Hampshire fall foliage and cooler temps. September also brings several annual events and fundraisers with decades-long legacies, which when combined have raised well over a million dollars for non-profits in and around the Valley. For forty-two years, the Championships of Mud Football have ushered in fall, and for 21 years hikers have raised funds in the Jen’s Friends Climb Against Cancer. Bark in the Park has delighted dog owners for more than two decades, But the Muster in the Mountains has attracted history buffs to the Mt Washington Auto Road and the White Mountains for even longer – since the 1970s! And Back to School Sidewalk Sales and the annual Fall Festival at Settlers Green have attracted visitors to Mt Washington Valley for over a decade too.
