While much of the United States is struggling with increasing rates of COVID-19 infections, the picture is much brighter in New England at this time. Infection rates are relatively low, and New Hampshire is seeing its lowest number of hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic. Because of that, Gov. Chris Sununu announced that he was ending the requirement that visitors from Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island attest that they had quarantined for 14 days before coming to New Hampshire. The governor said that because all the states have pretty much the same level of COVID-19 infection, it made sense to treat New England residents the same. Granite Staters who want to visit those states can also do so without triggering a quarantine advisory. If you go somewhere else, though, you should be prepared to quarantine for two weeks when you get back.
