Dinner & Music Night

Castle in the Clouds
Route 171, 586 Ossipee Park Rd.
Moultonborough, NH 03254

Mondays & Thursdays
June 24th - August 22nd
5:30-8:30pm
Tickets: $10 per person (must be purchased in advance)

Join us for dinner and live music as you watch the sun set over Lake Winnipesaukee from our beautiful outdoor terrace! Come with your dinner partners, your dancing shoes, and an appetite for classic American fare with unique twists. We were awarded “Best Music Nights in NH” in 2018 by NH Magazine!

Our Music Nights are by reservation on Mondays and Thursdays, which requires a $10 per-person cover charge. Your reservation guarantees your table for the whole evening, so you can mingle on the terrace, at the bar, peruse the exhibit gallery, or admire the historic horse stables and always have your seat to come back to. We recommend making your reservation at least 1-2 weeks in advance, as Mondays and Thursdays tend to sell out quickly!

We have a full dinner menu and a full bar available. Dinner reservation times are at 5:30pm, 6:00pm and 6:30pm, and music is played from 5:30pm through 8:30pm.

July EcoForum

Aerial Insectivores: The Who, What, Where, and Why of an Emerging Conservation Issue

Thursday, July 11, 12-1pm

Field Program 1:30-4pm

Nature Learning Center, Albany

Aerial insectivores are birds that feed primarily on insects captured in flight, and include nightjars, swifts, flycatchers, and swallows. Many of these species, particularly swallows and the Chimney Swift, are experiencing significant population declines both in NH and across the Northeast, and sometimes across their entire ranges. Dr. Pamela Hunt, NH Audubon, will provide an overview of these species’ biology and population trends, and delve into what we know – or don’t know – about the causes of the declines.

An optional field component will follow the EcoForum presentation.

Arts Jubilee: Duke Robillard Band

Cranmore Mountain Resort

1 Skimobile Rd.

North Conway, NH 03860

Arts Jubilee presents the Duke Robillard Band on Thursday, July 25th at 7 PM!

Duke and his band have been thrilling audiences world-wide for over three decades. Whether it's a song, a style, an idiom, or an image, Duke Robillard will render it with mastery, power, nuance, and an unerring grasp of its essence.

Born Michael John Robillard on October 4, 1948, in Woonsocket, R.I., Duke has carved out one of blues' most illustrious legacies, while also trodding some lofty related territories as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, bandleader, studio sideman, producer, label operator and educator. After showing an early affinity for music and guitar, he founded Roomful Of Blues with pianist Al Copley in Westerly, R.I., in 1967. By adding horns, Roomful announced itself emphatically as the prototypical jump blues band, and became a New England legend and a fixture beyond, as did Duke himself. By the time Duke left Roomful after a dozen years, he was firmly established in the upper echelon of contemporary blues guitarists.

Duke's resume is decorated with Grammy nominations, Handy Awards and Blues Music Awards, and other honors for his artistry, recordings and productions within the United States and internationally. Learn more at: www.dukerobillard.com.

Family Adventure: Rivers and Mountains (Carter Notch Hut Overnight)

AMC's Joe Dodge Lodge

362 NH-16
Jackson, NH 03846

Paddle the rivers and climb the mountains with families in the beautiful White Mountains! We've merged two or your favorite offerings- paddling and hiking to our backcountry huts. We'll paddle on the beautiful Androscoggin River where wildlife and scenic vistas abound. The next day we'll hike into the boreal forest to Carter Notch Hut (3.8 miles on way) and spend our third and final night. We'll look for constellations and listen for owls and frogs. After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast we'll hike down and recount our adventures with our new best friends! Recommended for 9 years and up.

Sunrise Drives & Guided Sunrise Tours

Mt. Washington Auto Road

1 Mount Washington Auto Road

Gorham, NH 03581

The Mt. Washington Auto Road opens early on three Sundays every summer, allowing guests to drive themselves to the summit of Mount Washington to view the sunrise from the highest peak in the Northeast.

Due to the popularity of these sunrise opportunities, we recommend not waiting until the last minute to arrive as you may spend time waiting at the Toll House due to traffic.

The State Park building on the summit will be open with limited food service on all three of these mornings.

GUIDED SUNRISE TOURS

Experience a sunrise on Mt. Washington from the comfort of a Mt. Washington Stage Coach.

Our experienced tour guides or "stage drivers" as we call them, will drive you up the Mt. Washington Auto Road for a chance to watch the sun rise. We leave promptly from the base lodge and will not hold back the trip as we need to keep a tight schedule throughout the day for all our guests.

Our drivers know the prime spots to view, have access to safe “VIP” parking where other cars would not be able to park and will tell their tales on the ascent and descent. Even if we don't actually get to the see the sun rise, you can be sure the early morning lighting on the mountains will make for incredible and unforgettable scenes. Although you are riding in a heated van, you should dress warm as you will have an opportunity to get out of the stage van for pictures and to experience the weather on Mt. Washington.
