There’s certainly a packed holiday weekend calendar for one small region of New Hampshire. Long considered among the best regions for July 4th celebrations, Mt Washington Valley’s 27 towns and villages put on a star-spangled show for Independence Day weekend. Those seeking plenty of fireworks, family fun, live entertainment, parades, food and games will find it as Mt Washington Valley’s businesses and towns bring out the red, white and blue banners for days on end to celebrate the unofficial start to the summer season.
Kick off the fireworks in Jackson Village on June 30 - Jackson Village and the surrounding communities come together to celebrate Independence Day as they light up the sky with a spectacular firework display Sunday, June 30 starting at approximately 9:00pm. Come claim your spot in Jackson Village Park.
Town of Gorham offers New Hampshire’s longest Independence Day celebration - Gorham rings in the holiday with New Hampshire’s longest 4th of July celebration.
Independence Day parade in Bartlett Village
Start your 4th of July celebrating in Bartlett Village. Bartlett 4th of July Parade, beginning at 11 AM at Precinct Park, ending at Hodgkins Park.

All Aboard the Firecracker Express - To help ease traffic, on the 4th of July only, the Conway Scenic Railroad will provide round-trip train transportation from our Freight House in Conway to our station in North Conway Village. After purchasing tickets in Conway, passengers may board our train in Conway at 2:00 p.m. and at 5:00 p.m. Our 80-passenger Budd car also will pick up passengers in Conway at 6:00. We will depart for the return trip to Conway at approximately 10:15 p.m., with a full train consist, following the fireworks.
