General Information:Join in the fun for a 3-hour journey along the picturesque Androscoggin River and into the 13-Mile Woods area on our scenic Moose/Wildlife Tour. Ride in our comfortable, air conditioned, 21-passenger tour bus in search of the giant of the North Country. We have a 97% success rate. Typically an average of eight moose are spotted during a single tour! The tour leaves from the Gorham Information Booth on the Town Common and features a guided tour of the local area and several historical sites along the way. May 24th through October 13th, 2008. Moosin' in the Evenin' Tours - depart at 6:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. See moose and other wildlife in their natural habitat as you enjoy dusk in the North Woods. (Schedule subject to change.) Morning Mist Tours - depart at 6:00 am on Sundays during July and August only. Capture the splendor of wildlife (possibly even moose) and of eagle, osprey, and many other native or migratory species with the backdrop of the sun rising over the Androscoggin River. A naturalist will provide an abundance of information on the area's natural heritage and resources. What better way is there to start your day? Directions:Head north on Route 16 until it intersects with Route 2 in Gorham. (There's a wooden moose to your left on the corner of the town common). Take a left and you'll see the Information Booth on your left. From I93, head north and take exit #35 onto Route 3, take a right onto Route 115. When Route 115 intersects with Route 2, take a right onto Route 2. When you come to the traffic lights in Gorham, take a right and head south for approximately 1 1/4 miles. The Information Booth will be on your right on the Town Common.
