General Information:Built in the 1870s, the Admiral Peary House is the former home of Admiral Robert E. Peary, the arctic explorer who with his team, were first to the North Pole in 1909. Conveniently located just a few minutes from North Conway, the Mount Washington Valley, the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Lakes region of Western Maine, our 7-room inn sits on 2.5 beautiful acres of lawns and perennial gardens in the historic village of Fryeburg, the oldest town in the White Mountains. Directions:From North Conway:Take Route 302 East for 9 miles to Fryeburg. Look for the Post Office on your left and the Irving gas station on your right. Turn right just before Irving, this is Elm Street. The Admiral Peary House is 6 houses down on your right with the driveway about 20 yards after passing the house. Please pull into our parking area- our main entrance is via the porch at the back of the house. From Boston and points South: Take Route 95 North to Route 16 North (Spaulding Turnpike) and follow for 78 miles until you reach Conway, NH. Go straight through all the lights in Conway continuing on Route 113/302 East to Fryeburg. When you see the sign, "Entering Maine", go 1 mile and look for the Post Office on your left and the Irving gas station on your right. Turn right just before Irving, this is Elm Street. The Admiral Peary House is 6 houses down on your right with the driveway about 20 yards after passing the house. Please pull into our parking area- our main entrance is via the porch at the back of the house. From Portland Airport (PWM - 50 miles): Follow Route 302 West for 50 miles. When you reach Fryeburg, continue on the 302 along Main Street and go for 2 blocks to the Irving gas station on the left. Turn left immediately after the gas station, this is Elm Street. The Admiral Peary House is 6 houses down on your right with the driveway about20 yards after passing the house. Please pull into our parking area - our main entrance is via the porch at the back of the house. From Manchester Airport (MHT - 104 miles): Take I-93N 50 miles to Exit 23. Turn right off the ramp onto Route 104 towards Meredith. In Meredith, take Route 25N towards North Conway/White Mountains. After about 25 miles turn left at the T-junction with Route 16, towards Conway. When you get to Conway, keep straight to take Route 113/302 to Fryeburg.
