Jay Pollini

Jay Pollini is pleased to be the Head PGA Professional at scenic Wentworth Golf Club. Jay's father was a PGA Professional for 38 years allowing him to be surrounded by the love and sport of golf. Becoming a Professional in 1994 and receiving his own Class A PGA rating in 1999, Jay has been a part of the Wentworth Golf Club since our 2015 season.

 Jay has instructed over 1,500 individual lessons and over 400 group clinics. His teaching philosophy and principles encourage a player to learn golf to the best of their ability and level of enjoyment. Jay coaches golfers effectively by tailoring instruction with each player's body style, personality, or athletic ability, and utilizing the golfing basics: grip, alignment, posture, balance, ball position, and swing. 

Having a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management, currently a member of the NH Chapter of the New England PGA, as well as a two-time Eastern Regional Club Professional Championship qualifier, and Player of the Year NHC/PGA 2005, Jay is an accomplished tournament golfer and delights in bringing those experiences to the people that surround him.

Providing the best in Golf, Larry’s commitment to the North Conway Country Club began in 1991. His thirty plus years of experience have seen Larry ranked as one of the top ten Professionals in New Hampshire. Larry is a member of the PGA of America & of the New Hampshire PGA and was named a New Hampshire PGA Professional of the Year in 1991 and 1995. He is also a 1995 New Hampshire PGA Champion with many other titles including, New Hampshire PGA Senior Champion and New Hampshire PGA Match Play Champion, Granite State Open Champion and more.

Combined with the responsibility of assuring the daily golf operations of the Club run smoothly, Larry is also the host of a number of State and Charity Tournaments.

We are proud to be part of Larry’s long history in golf and proud to list his accomplishments as ones that not only benefit the Club but benefit our Members and Guests.

North Conway Country Club also welcomes Kevin Walker as the Assistan Golf Professional. WIth fourteen years of golf lesson and clinic experience, he is a PGA level 3 Apprentice and makes a cncerted effort to keep the learning atmosphere and sessions relaxed and fun. Kevin is also certified as a golf fitness instructor from the Titelist Performance Institute and emphasizes the methodology of making the golf swin more efficient in his teaching.

Having graduated as a Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Sports Medicine and is employed at Mt. Center Physical Therapy during the winter months. He is a native of the Mt. Washington Valley and is a Kennett High School Hall of Famer.

Omni Mount Washington Resort Golf Course John Pawlak, Director of Golf

John Pawlak is well acquainted with golf in New England, drawing on several years of experience. Prior to his Director of Golf position here at Omni Mount Washington Resort, he was Director of Golf/General Manager of the Tater Hill Golf Club at Okemo Mountain Resort in Windham, VT. Previously, Pawlak oversaw the 18-hole redesign at the John Cain Golf Club in Newport, NH; spent two years as Head Professional at the Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, FL; and held Assistant Professional positions at Harbour Town Golf Links and Amelia Island Plantation on Hilton Head Island. He began his golf career earlier than most, working at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, NH, from seventh grade through high school. During his apprenticeship at Hilton Head Island, Harbour Town Golf Links, John worked with the Bert Yancey Classical School of Golf. There he focused on the finer elements of classic fundamentals and solid ball striking. Throughout his more then 26 years in the PGA, john has set up and organized many instructional programs. Junior clinics, Beginner and Intermediate and shot-specific clinics. In addition to golf, John is a Level III PSIA-E ski instructor and a Level II Race Coach in the winter.
Pawlak's passion for golf is infectious - particularly to his family. His oldest son Ross entered the PGA program following graduation from Johnson State College in Vermont; his daughter Kait, a two-time All-American skier at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, is headed into golf merchandising; and his youngest son Sam is a high school student who loves skiing and golf. His wife Deb is a real estate broker for Sotheby's International in Ludlow, VT.

Born and raised in Keene, NH, Pawlak studied Turf Management at Lake City College in Florida. He currently resides with his family in Windham, VT.

Bob McGraw

Bob McGraw is currently in his 10th season as the Head Professional at the Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club in Jackson. In the winter months, he serves as the Director of Instruction at the Grand Harbor Club in Vero Beach, Florida. In 1987, Bob started his career as the Head Professional at The Wentworth Golf Club in Jackson, a position he held for 12 years before moving on to serve as the Head Professional and Director of Instruction at The Country Club at New Seabury for seven seasons. Bob is a PGA Certified Professional. He was the first member of the New England PGA (NEPGA) to be certified in Instruction and has also been certified in Golf Operations.

Growing up in North Conway, Bob enjoyed competing in all sports and was very fortunate to experience playing for several different coaches.  He graduated from Bentley College in 1982, where he earned Varsity letters in Baseball, Basketball and Golf. Bob was inducted into the Kennett High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. He feels strongly that all of these experiences have helped him to be a better teacher and coach. Bob has given over 25,000 lessons since 1987 and has worked with all levels of players. He has been recognized by his peers as the New Hampshire PGA (NHPGA) Junior Golf Leader in 1997, the Cape Cod PGA Junior Golf Leader in 2000, the Cape Cod PGA Teacher of the Year in 2002, and the NEPGA Junior Golf Leader in 2006. In 2010, he was the NHPGA Senior Champion and finished as the first runner-up to the overall champion.

Bob is known for his patience with beginners and juniors, but has also successfully coached players to win State and Regional Championships. Whatever your age or ability level, he can help you to learn to play better. Bob has worked hard to provide an environment at The Eagle Mountain House that is comfortable for beginners, families and juniors. In 2011, The Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club and Bob were recognized nationally by the PGA of America as one of Play Golf America’s Top 100 Performers for their efforts in growing the game.
