Anywhere you go throughout Mt. Washington Valley, any season, you will find events that are unique and exciting. Some are centered in North Conway Village, with An Old Fashioned Christmas, the annual Mud Bowl, Fireworks on the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve, Strawberry Festival, and more. Others make their way from North Conway to Jackson with the Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour, Art in Bloom and Inn to Inn Cookie Festival.

Memorial Hospital's Kids Fun Run at Storyland

Join us for a fun-filled morning and race your way around

Story Land! There will be appearances from some of the

Story Land Characters as well as a few other special guests!


Registration is $10/child.


Registration begins at 8:15am on Race Day.


All participants receive a race medal, t-shirt and a pass to

Story Land to be used that day.


First Race begins at 9:00am


Race 1: Ages 9 - 12 - 1K

Race 2: Tot Trot - Ages 4 & Under - Short Loop*

(to start immediately after Race 1 is on course)

Race 3: Ages 5 & 6 - ½K

Race 4: Ages 7 & 8 - ½K


*Parents are allowed on course for the Tot Trot only.


Our usual pre-race activities (book swap & smoothie bike) are being moved to inside the park AFTER the race. Kids will be able to use their free admission to the park to visit our book swap table and to have a chance to use Memorial Hospital's smoothie bike and get their free water bottle (must show race bib). There will still be characters around the start/finish line before and during the race to hand out medals and take photos.

Golf Ball Drop

Join us at the Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club for a fun and exciting fundraising event that benefits Jen's Friends Cancer Foundation and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce events and other non profits around the area.  Entry to the event is free, purchase of golf ball tickets are $20 each.  First prize is $1,000 cash with more than 20 other prizes.  You could win a ride in the helicopter to help release the golf balls.  Thanks to Verical Ventures Aviation.  Al Shafner and the Rev Tones will be playing for your dancing pleasure.  For complete details please visit our website.

100 Acre Challenge 5k Obstacle Adventure

5K Obstacle Adventure

100 Acre Wood, Intervale, NH

Run, Swim, Crawl, Climb & then some!!


Competitors will run, swim, crawl and climb as this 5K challenge takes them into the mud, water, over walls, rock piles and through the wood. It's all in fun and for a good cause with net proceeds benefiting the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation and our programs.


Individuals and teams of two or four are invited and for kids 12 and under there is the Mini Acre Challenge featuring mini obstacles.


Registration is limited to 250 participants.


The kids' race starts at 9:00am followed by their awards. Starting at 10am, heats for the individual competitors and teams of two and four will depart the starting line every 12 minutes. Winners from each category are determined by best time.


Following the race, Home Depot will be on site with kid's activities, a Food Truck will be serving up some awesome food and Entertainment TBD will be rockin' the tunes. Beer will be available for anyone 21 and older. Prizes for first three places of each category.


The Mini Acre Challenge for kids ages 12 and under is for individuals only. Registration is $10. All kids receive a medal. Prizes awarded to the top 3 male and female in each age group.

Bike for Books: Mountain Bike Adventure Rides

Bike for Books: MTB Adventure Rides

Day of mountain biking fun in North Conway, NH. Different route options for all ages & abilities, from easy to technically highly challenging. Self-guided rides on well-marked trails. Benefit for North Conway Library; fundraising is optional, prizes for top fundraisers. Big pizza lunch with yummy desserts.

• Self-guided rides on marked trails on North Conway’s Eastside

• Almost all off-road; virtually no pavement riding

• Different route options for all ages & abilities:

• 2 Easy loops in Whitaker Woods for kids & families & beginners

• 1 Intermediate loop: Sticks & Stones, Beaver Fever, Knot, Swamp, Muffler, Pillar to Pond, etc. 

• Several Expert add-on loops on technically challenging trails: Red Tail Trail, Rattlesnake, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, etc.

• Snack stop with food & drinks mid-course

• Post-ride: pizza lunch with hot soup, delicious desserts, and fresh coffee

• Mechanical support tent 

• Optional fundraising with prizes for top fundraisers
