Tin Mountain Conservation Center is teaming up with Fish Nerds Guide Service to offer 90-minute boat cruises on scenic Silver Lake in Madison, NH. The trips will leave from the town boat launch on East Shore Drive on an 11-passenger pontoon boat and tour the length of the lake. The Tin Mountain naturalist on board will discuss the natural and cultural history of the area, identify wildlife and ecological features of the landscape, and answer questions. Binoculars will be available on board. Passengers are encouraged to dress appropriately for weather conditions that may change rapidly. We suggest water, sunscreen, hats, and an extra layer.

Dates: 4pm Thursdays July 12, 19, August 2, 23 and 2pm Saturdays September 8, 29

Location: Meet at the Silver Lake Boat Launch on East Shore Road in Silver Lake, NH. Participants must park on the road and not in boat launch spaces.

Price: $25/person, $15/ child 16 and under. $5 discount for Tin Mountain members.

We do not recommend this program for children 5 and under.

Reservations & Cancellations:

Due to the limited space on the cruises, reservations are required. Please call Tin Mountain at (603) 447-6991 to reserve your space. Payment must be made at time or reservation.

If the weather conditions are unsafe, Tin Mountain may decide to cancel the trip. If this occurs, reserved passengers will be offered a spot on a subsequent cruise or provided with a refund. If passengers need to cancel, they may do so up to 24 hours in advance and still receive a refund. Passengers who do cancel after this time period or who simply do not show up for the program will not be refunded.

Things My Mother Taught Me

M&D Playhouse

M&D Playhouse presents Things My Mother Taught Me by Katherine DeSavino.  Olivia and Gabe are moving into their first apartment. They’ve packed their belongings and driven halfway across the country to start a new life together in Chicago. Moving day doesn’t go exactly as planned, and things become more complicated when all of their parents show up to help.  Can a two bedroom apartment contain all of the love, laughs, worry and wisdom that’s about to happen? This comedy from the author of Nana’s Naughty Knickers takes a generational look at relationships, and how sometimes parents pass their best lessons on to children without even meaning to.

Things My Mother Taught Me is presented September 13 - 23, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM with Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM.

To reserve seats please visit our website at www.mdplayhouse.com or call (603) 733-5275.

Enjoy food and beverages from or Culture Café during the performance.  The Café opens 45 minutes prior to the performance with light snacks, coffee, soft drinks, wine, beer and liquors available.
