Seek The Peak Hike-a-thon for Mount Washington Observatory

The White Mountains of NH with events taking place at the Weather Discovery Center, White Mountains, Summit of Mount Washington at the Observatory and the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road.

Welcome to The Nation's Premier Hiking Event - Join us and Seek the Peak on July 20, 2019
As the largest annual fundraiser of the nonprofit Mount Washington Observatory, Seek the Peak welcomes hikers of all ages and abilities to Mount Washington and its neighboring peaks and places of interest in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire.

We invite you to participate and to Seek YOUR Peak…While many hikers will choose the challenge of summiting Mount Washington, others will opt for alternative mountain treks, or may even prefer a short “nature hike”. Some may just want to support the Observatory as “virtual hikers,” or simply join for the weekend festivities…

Ultimately the weekend is an incredible gathering of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who have come together to Seek their Peaks in support of Mount Washington Observatory.
In addition to getting outside and exploring White Mountain trails, the weekend includes:
• Kick-Off Party and Registration at the Weather Discovery Center
• Observatory Weather Station tours on the summit of Mount Washington
• An Expo featuring premier sponsors Eastern Mountain Sports, Oboz & Mt. Washington Auto Rd. along with several other vendors showcasing and giving away product samples
• The famous After Party including a massive gear giveaway and Hart's Turkey dinner
• All while supporting the non-profit Mount Washington Observatory with pledges which in turn will earn you prizes!

Registrants are asked to raise a minimum of $200 as part of their participation; in turn they are awarded with fabulous prizes and more! Be one of the first 500 to raise $200 and earn a Seek the Peak Eastern Mountain Sports backpack and exclusive Seek the Peak T-shirt.

Arts Jubilee: Duke Robillard Band

Cranmore Mountain Resort

1 Skimobile Rd.

North Conway, NH 03860

Arts Jubilee presents the Duke Robillard Band on Thursday, July 25th at 7 PM!

Duke and his band have been thrilling audiences world-wide for over three decades. Whether it's a song, a style, an idiom, or an image, Duke Robillard will render it with mastery, power, nuance, and an unerring grasp of its essence.

Born Michael John Robillard on October 4, 1948, in Woonsocket, R.I., Duke has carved out one of blues' most illustrious legacies, while also trodding some lofty related territories as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, bandleader, studio sideman, producer, label operator and educator. After showing an early affinity for music and guitar, he founded Roomful Of Blues with pianist Al Copley in Westerly, R.I., in 1967. By adding horns, Roomful announced itself emphatically as the prototypical jump blues band, and became a New England legend and a fixture beyond, as did Duke himself. By the time Duke left Roomful after a dozen years, he was firmly established in the upper echelon of contemporary blues guitarists.

Duke's resume is decorated with Grammy nominations, Handy Awards and Blues Music Awards, and other honors for his artistry, recordings and productions within the United States and internationally. Learn more at: www.dukerobillard.com.
