North Conway Library presents: “Photo-Safari in Alaska” With Kathy & Ed Bergeron
The North Conway Public Library invites you to the third of its 2019 Thursday Night Program Series. Ed & Kathy Bergeron will share their experiences from exploring Alaska. This event is on Thursday night, March 21, at 7 p.m. at the Obs-Weather Discovery Center on Main Street in North Conway Village.
Kathy and Ed Bergeron will share their photos of their trip to Alaska in 2018. They started their journey in Fairbanks, continuing to Denali, and southward to Anchorage and the Kenai and Katmai Peninsulas. Traveling by train, bus, car, and plane, they experienced many beautiful areas of the state. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the bears at Brooks Lodge and seeing them catch salmon. Enjoy close-up photos and share in the excitement of these wonderful creatures as well as photos of Mount Denali.
Kathy and Ed Bergeron have been serious amateur nature photographers for many years. They have photographed nature around the world: Hummingbirds in Canada and Arizona, scenes in the Alps, wildlife in all seasons in Yellowstone, and on safari in Kenya, as well as flowers in Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France. Kathy exhibits some of her work in the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. They both enjoy teaching photography workshops. Their work is marketed under the name of Outdoor Images.
This program will be held at the Weather Discovery Center; no reservations necessary. There will be time after the presentation for questions and discussion. Homemade cookies will be served and coffee is generously provided by Frontside Grind in North Conway.
The program is free of charge, although donations to the Library are greatly appreciated.
