Tin Mine Exploration: an exploration of the historic 1840s Tin Mine including a small cave and numerous pit mines. The walk will also include information about the geology of the area, including a glacial erratic and a beautiful view of Mount Washington. July 12, August 2 & 23.

Pond Exploration: a historical hike to a quiet mountain pond nestled in the “back 40” of Tin Mountain Conservation Center’s 223 acres. We will discover the history of the area through the landscape by exploring stonewalls, cellar holes, and old sugar maples and red oak trees. Once we arrive at the pond there will be an opportunity to catch frogs, tadpoles, and macroinvertebrates such as dragonfly nymphs and caddis flies. Pond nets and binoculars included! July 19 & August 9.

Summit Hike: a hike to the summit of Tin Mountain. Many feet before yours have walked these paths through a northern mixed hardwood forest at Tin Mountain. Abenaki Indians, hill farmers, black bear, deer, summer campers, and school groups, have all walked this trail to the summit. At 2,031 feet, there is a scenic vista south looking over the town of Jackson. This is a moderately strenuous hike. July 26, August 16 & 30.
