Fields on the Saco

The Upper Saco Valley Land Trust, in partnership with Mount Washington Valley Eaters and Growers (MWVEG), presents the 10th Annual Fields on the Saco.  The Land Trust is partnering with MWVEG to highlight the role of local agriculture and to emphasize the importance of conserving of our area’s rich agricultural lands. 

The 10th Annual Fields on the Saco is sponsored by our event host The Barn at Merrill Farm, which is a wonderful New England inn nestled beside the Saco River in Conway. Originally the homestead of Thomas Merrill, a farmer and one of Conway’s founding fathers, the Barn is the perfect place to celebrate the harvest season.

The dinner will be held on Sunday, October 22nd. The event starts at 3:00 pm with locally-made libations, live music, hors d ‘oeuvres and auction items, followed by five enticing plated and paired courses, finishing with a grand finale dessert.

The evening will offer a wide array of culinary delights. New England chefs will be sourcing fresh, local ingredients and will pair regionally made spirits, beers, and wines with entrees made from sustainably raised dairy, meat, vegetables and herbs. The dinner will highlight both the creative talent of the selected chefs and our region’s best seasonal offerings.
